Pathway Budget privacy notice

Updated October 11, 2026

James Robertson operates Pathway Budget as Pathway Financial in Regina, Saskatchewan, and is responsible for your information. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or requests. Our website notice covers consultation forms and coaching correspondence.

What we collect and why

We store your email, optional greeting name, sign-in and security records, household membership, invitations, budgets, transactions, goals, optional monthly review notes, history and sharing permissions to run the app, protect access and provide support. Messages include what you type, your account email and identifier so we can reply. Your saved budget is not automatically attached.

Optional signup questions

Referral source, coaching interest, budgeting experience and goals are optional answers linked to your account, not anonymous. We use aggregate counts to understand client needs and improve the app. Skipping does not affect access or book coaching. Revisit your answers to change them or clear all selections and save to remove them.

Product reporting

We record your household identifier and the calendar day in Regina time when you save a budget change, not every day you open the app. Owner reports show aggregate activity, access, feedback and optional-answer counts without names, emails or budget amounts. We do not sell your information or use third-party product analytics, advertising trackers or screen recordings.

Who processes your information

Providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where foreign authorities may obtain lawful access.

AI-assisted email replies

James may use OpenAI’s ChatGPT to prepare replies outside the app. Messages and sender details included in that workflow, including financial details you provide, are processed by OpenAI. James reviews and approves AI-assisted replies before they are sent. This does not connect ChatGPT to your saved budget. See OpenAI’s privacy policy. Keep passwords, codes and full account numbers out of messages.

Sharing and your device

Your household members share its budget, goals and optional monthly review notes. Review notes are not included in coach budget viewing. Coach viewing requires every current member’s approval, an active coaching relationship and an unexpired grant. Revoke access in Sharing; downloaded copies cannot be recalled.

Necessary cookies keep you signed in and protect access. Remembering a device allows sign-in for up to 30 days, subject to security checks. Your browser stores preferences and encrypted pending changes. Downloaded exports are unencrypted; keep them private.

Retention and your choices

We keep information while needed for the service, support and required records. Account deletion disables access and allows 30 days for recovery. Permanent removal is processed after that window; it is not an automatic deletion on day 30. A remaining member keeps their shared household budget. Email records, backups and downloaded copies are handled separately.

Contact James to request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of optional consent or to make a privacy complaint. We may verify your identity and explain any information that must be retained. Material changes to our practices will receive appropriate notice and consent.
